Juanita Lomax is a dynamic and seasoned professional with 20 years of success, extensive experience and accomplishments in Information Technology, Portfolio/Project Manager and in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging fields.
Juanita is most known for her unique ability to identify opportunities, gaps, problems, inequalities and developing (independently and/or collaboratively) innovative strategies/solutions that not only exceed that of all stakeholders but creates additional opportunities for growth/expansion/optimization. She is also known for driving brand growth thru positive, impactful community and strategic partnerships, activations and most importantly RESULTS.
In her most honored roles, Juanita serves on the Executive Board of Directors for CHS (Community Human Services) as the Vice President and Governance Chair, Co-Founder of Allegheny Allies, sponsored by Vibrant Pittsburgh, Co-Chair of the Regional EBRG (Employee Business Resource Group) Council with Vibrant Pittsburgh, Advisory Board for PWN (Professional Women’s Network), Board of Directors for Dress for Success, Board of Directors for When She Thrives and Advisor to Highmark’s BOLD BRG (Black Organization for Leadership and Development) Leadership team. Her community engagements allow her to fulfill her passion for service and the building of bridges to success and growth for those in underserviced communities and spaces.
Recent roles include the Chairwoman of Highmark’s BOLD BRG (Black Organization for Leadership and Development), Delaware Racial Justice Collaborative (DRJC) Member at the United Way of Delaware and in honor of her late father, Young Professionals Board for the American Heart Association.
Juanita has also created the only golf clinic in the Pittsburgh region geared toward introducing and teaching black women not only how to play golf but the business acumen that comes along with the sport.
She holds a M.S. in IT Project Management, B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management, Associate degree in Computer Management & Business, is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh’s LDI class of XXIX. She is a Pittsburgh native and resides in the Penn Hills area of Pittsburgh with her two daughters Mya (21) and Mariah (17).
