Beth BurtonAfter graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Beth went to work for numerous non profits here in the region. However, after having her most prized daughters in 2015 and 2016, it had become evident to her that her position at home was most pertinent.
As a mama, she spent the last 8 years dedicated to the betterment of herself and her family. Today she has found growth through the completion of several programs servicing the Pittsburgh area. As a Social Ambassador to Brown Mamas, she mediated one of their social media pages, engaging with over 10,000 other brown mamas and conducting meet ups in the community. As a fellow with Moms Rising, she was able to advocate for paid medical leave and her story is on exhibit in Harrisburg. Beth is currently a participant in When She Thrives S.O.A.R. Program. When she’s not actively working on self development she can be found somewhere listening to her favorite song or relentlessly finding a way to support friends and family. Her motto is “Stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, it’s when life appears the worst that you must not quit.” |
