WWOW was created by Nakeena Hayden a Single Mom of 3 children. She took the journey in the SFSM Book project and discovered there is such a Healing in Writing.
The space itself is Healing! Cultivating a routine in your need of "Getting things off your chest" and on to the paper, is important! Every woman NEEDS ME Time! Being amongst other like-minded women to help you grow and get over hardships, is what you create at WWOW. On a mission to discovering HER she created a space to get out her own head and to write what needed to change. She put up LED lights to give a soft feeling, she lite her candles to feel relaxed, she played smooth jazz to give her a vibe and most importantly, creating a sistership with other ladies who join the program! This space is designed for you to write, heal & relax. |
Write. Relax. Heal.
"Written Testimonies"
"It was such a great experience in this program, it allowed me to find a sisterhood that I could trust and help better understand myself and fall in love with me again. It is very life changing. "Get out of your own way", is my motto." -Nakeena
"It was an outstanding yet challenging experience being a part of the writing group. I was pushed to write at my highest level. I met and bonded with ladies that I hope to continue growing with. I am forever grateful for this experience as it has heightened my confidence in myself." -Alana Griffin
"Writing on Wednesdays has truly helped me become a published author. It provided a safe place for me to build confidence and foster intimate relationships with other authors. Those relationships fueled me with strength and creativity to help me through this writing project. I was pushed to persevere despite the challenges and opposition life continues to throw your way. I brought my kids along and we looked forward to writing on Wednesday, I just showed up in my weariness and continued to endure. I can contribute that to the support of the facilitators and my co-horts who energized me when I knew my battery was running low and I wanted to give up. I truly am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such and enriching environment and I pray it continues to prosper." -Teona Hall
