Shauntaya Hester

Shauntaya Hester is the proud mother of 2 boys, ages 20 and 8. She was born and raised on the Northside of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania graduating from Perry Traditional Academy. She has an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Social Innovation. Shauntaya is a natural born leader, an advocate for women and children, and has obtained many credentials and accolades to suffice all her degrees. 

Over the past 2 decades, Shauntaya has devoted her career to the social services field by helping lead various populations to self-sufficiency, promote healthy living and assisting with the awareness and enrollment in the government assistance programs. 

Although maintaining a busy life as a mom and a professional, she has overcome many adversities and past trauma which lead her to entrepreneurship.  Her current business is Every Heartbeat Counts LLC, with a powerful slogan, Teaching youth how to save a life instead of taking a life. She teaches Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, First Aid, and Fire Safety Training.

Her mission is to help women of all races advocate for justice and empower women at all levels to develop their natural abilities to live their fullest potential and equip them to excel as leaders of their workplaces and communities across society.
